When you volunteer with Girl Scouts, you provide a safe space for kids to discover themselves. You help them try new things, build each other up, and make unforgettable memories through fun, laughter, and connection.
You can be a role model and mentor just by being yourself! You don’t need any special leadership training to get involved—just a passion for helping others. Your local Girl Scout council can help get you started.

Troop volunteers help Girl Scouts become stronger, kinder, and braver than they ever thought possible. Troop leaders—and volunteers in other roles, like troop money manager or cookie chair—engage regularly with their Girl Scouts and guide them through activities, like earning badges, exploring the outdoors, or running their own business through the Girl Scout Cookie Program.
Service unit volunteers are the network of support throughout your community. They empower troop leaders and troop volunteers to be the role models that Girl Scouts need and connect them with the resources for unforgettable troop experiences.
