Johnson & Johnson Foundation has provided generous support of Girl Scouts’ science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programming in 2023. We believe that STEM is critical to solving today’s problems. Overcoming challenges like natural disasters, poverty, cyberwarfare, climate change, and declining resources will rely on people employed in STEM fields to provide a comprehensive view of the problems, along with specialized knowledge and the vision to help build a better future.
Thanks to Johnson & Johnson Foundation’s support, Girl Scout councils across the country are engaging Girl Scouts in grades K–12 in STEM-focused activities. In addition to getting Girl Scouts outdoors to learn through Math in Nature badges, they are gaining insight into valuable STEM careers, preserving the ecosystem through the Girl Scout Tree Promise, and creating sustainable change through the Climate Challenge. Together, we are preparing girls to be leaders in STEM and make a difference in their communities by growing girls’ STEM interest, confidence, and competencies.
